Soil Type This paddock has a grey loam above heavy yellow clay described as Denison Clay Loam (De) in ‘Major Agricultural Soils of the Maffra Region’, Sargeant, I. and Imhof, M. (2000)
Description This paddock is a consolidation of three paddocks and drains west to east along the northern boundary with the main irrigation channel on the western boundary.Runoff is picked up by a drain on the eastern end of the paddock and travels to the re-use dam at the eastern end of the property.The paddock was sown to perennial ryegrass in 2008.
Irrigation System This paddock was originally set up for flood irrigation and was laser graded in 2008 to improve irrigation efficiency.
